Environmental Protection Act (EPA) FAQ's:

Who Can I Make An EPA Prosecution Against?

You can make an EPA Prosecution against any landlord be they private, council or housing association.

How much will your services cost me?

We offer our services on a no win no fee basis. Providing you cooperate with us throughout your case, if we win the landlord will pay our fees, if we lose, we do not charge.

Will I receive any compensation?

Compensation is often awarded although it is at the discretion of the magistrate's court. We do not take a cut of any compensation awarded under EPA cases and you will receive every penny.

Do I need to report the problem to my landlord?

No, you do not need to have reported it, although it may be best if you do report to your landlord and allow them an opportunity to abate the nuisance.

What if my landlord hasn't agreed to sort the problem?

If your landlord said it wasn't their responsibility, they are usually wrong and we can help.

It's been a while since I last saw any vermin, can I still claim?

The last sighting of the pest or evidence of them (such as droppings) needs to have been within the last 14 days. If you have been free of pests in that time, we would not be able to help unless they return.

I have seen rodents in my garden can I still claim?

Unfortunately, for the problem to fall under the remit of a breach of EPA the infestation needs to be within living areas of your home.
