Road traffic accident in Manchester on Mancunian Way

Five cars were involved in a road traffic accident in Manchester yesterday on the Mancunian Way. Two drivers are being treated in hospital for their injuries.

The five cars involved in the car accident included a VW Polo, Citroen Saxo and a Vauxhall Corsa.

The two drivers involved in the car accident were taken from their vehicles on ‘spine board’ stretchers, suspected of spinal injuries. Both are being treated in hospital, although their conditions were not reported to be critical.

The accident happened just before the slip road to Cambridge Street which was closed for some time.
