The most common type of elbow injuries are fractures and dislocations, both can be painful and extremely frustrating.
Accidents that can cause elbow injuries:
- Road traffic accidents such as car crashes and motorbike collisions
- Slipping and/or tripping accidents
- Accidents in the workplace including heavy objects falling or chemicals
- Physical assault
- Sporting accidents and collisions
Most elbow injuries fall into the minor/moderate injury category. They comprise simple fractures, tennis elbow syndrome and lacerations; i.e., those injuries which cause no permanent damage and do not result in any permanent impairment of function.
Elbow injury compensation amounts:
- Moderate or minor elbow injury such as simple fractures or tennis elbow where there is no permanent damage or impairment of function of the joint: up to £8,250 elbow injury compensation.
- Injuries leading to impairment of function of the elbow but not involving major surgery or significant disability: up to £21,000 elbow injury compensation.
- Severely disabling injury of the elbow: up to £36,000 elbow injury compensation.
Compensation for elbow injury claims can also be awarded for loss of earnings, both past and future if the injury is serious enough to prevent the injured party working again and for associated losses such as medication, and treatments like physiotherapy or psychological help.
If you have an elbow injury claim you could be entitled to compensation. Antony Hodari can assess your case and determine if there is an arm accident compensation claim to be made.
